south texas | If this is a 24sp and same trans as 70 series i can maybe help.
u will need to check system pressure at trans valve, i can't remember which one it is. The book will help u. I cant remember the pressure but i think its 270. Will need to check the clutch and 2sp pressure as well iff system pressure is 270 or whatever it needs to be. There is a screen in bottom of trans like a row crop. Big sq head plug under rear output shaft. It will drain all ur oil.
is the oil black or green color? Does it look like new oil or old burnt oil?
im not familiar with the warning u are seeing, take a pic of the one thats coming on. I have an 8970 so maybe they are different. 70s do not mix hydrolyic oil and trans oil at all.
It not moving is not good but could be starved of oil or pressure to engage.
report back and i will try to help. I have had lots of trouble with transmission on mine mostly due to incompetent poeple working on it. I finally decided i was the transmission guy, been good since.
i am not familiar with a sensor on rear of transmission, i think there is one on the valve body and one on filter housing. | |
