Subject: RE: Setting up guidance lines

Donnellson, IA. Makes saying here easier.
We use our gator to make RTK boundaries on all our fields. The ones with straight sides we still use either the heading or an ab line if the heading is unknown. SMS will generate headlands and passes off of boundaries. Sometimes I like what it comes up with sometimes not so much. We also use lots of curve on ag leader to be able to transfer. Smart path works great but up until the incommand that stays with the monitor. Everything we have gets a unique name so any operator can know it's the right line. Most fields we have kept the same line for 9 years now. But we do a fair amount of new custom work. And it really speeds up those jobs to have the fields already mapped out before you ever put the implement on their fields. Plus we get phone calls from the owners because the neighborhood want to know what kind of surveying or government agency is out on the farm. Gator with a paradyme on top does look suspicious lol.
