The pump I got was the cylindrical style that according to planter serial numbers was the newer version. I looked at my planter last night and it was not plumbed with any valves so appears like it came from the factory as a direct hook up. Great suggestion about sizing that flow control to the flow on the pump and motor. I installed one of the Prince flow control valves on our combine for the bin auger. Seems like same concept.
