n.c.iowa | Typically those systems had the flow control valve in three spots, the most typical one was right by the resevoir, or in the drum bulkhead on the right side of the right drum, and on the pump itself, so if the original system hasn’t been scrapped it should be still there.
If the pump you got though is actually a 8row pump though then there were several different styles, most commonly is the pump that had it’s own resevoir attached, then there were at least two different styles of those, the most common one was the one that had the resevoir kinda covering the pump, and had a filler neck that came up the backside and protruded up. Those actually had the flow control valve integral with the pump, that’d be the easiest one to connect, just replump the lines, no extra stuff needed, the other style that was more rare had the resevoir mounted to the backside also, but it looked more cylindrical, that one needs a external relief valve.
Otherwise that’s how they were plumbed, pressure line from the pump went to the relief/flow control valve, then on to the fans, with the return from the fans going to the coolers, then back to the resevoir. The “dump” side of the flow control valve went Back to the resevoir.
Make sure the flow control valves matches pump flow.
