Nearby dairy is looking for some haylage.

What does it typically cost to chop, haul and pack if I hired it done. One field is 5 miles away, another is 10 miles.

Is it done by the hour?

Thanks

10 miles is a long ways to haul silage in the making.
The mega dairies likely do it but it sure ain't free!!!!
Even 5 miles isn't very close.
You would need some kind of a dump wagon and then top off the trucks and you would need at least 3 trucks maybe even 4 - - - hopefully one of the guys that's doing lots of silage will chime in with the actual numbers.
