Bremen, KS | Be aware the security restrictions required for Windows 10 will prevent booting most Linux distributions from a USB stick. To do so you'll need to change a setting in the BIOS as I understand it and then change it back to boot 10.
Even on a USB 2.0 port the speed of loading the OS and applications is much slower than from the hard drive. Once the programs are loaded into RAM things are snappy. IMO, a lighter distribution such as Xubuntu with the lighter Xfce desktop or Lubuntu using LXDE/LXQt is better suited for running from a USB stick. |
