We have a JOHN blue pump and we could mount it on the end and let the drive wheels run it. Pros is it’s simple ,could use the half row shut offs to turn pump on and off. Cons later we thought we might variable rate and a drive pump doesn’t work well for that. Also with drive pump you would have to have two to do any side by sides with rates or sulper. We are planning to use a wet boom for each side. Would we have to feed the boom in the center for even flow to the booms?

Also should add, this planter will be electric drive so no drive shafts across. Ran with Agleader incommand, and would like to monitor/control with that for mapping purposes and trials. Will be ran as 2 8 row sections, with the tanks plumbed where they can be together or separate depending on what I’m testing. I feel I will need agitation, so a return to the tank would be a good thing. Control valve on bypass was my plan. Regardless of pump type
