Mid 60's neighbor built a new hog confinement shed. Hog prices stunk and Dad asked him why he built the new shed at that time. He claimed without the investment credit his tax rate would have been in the 90% bracket. Only good thing about those tax rates was that doctors and investors didn't compete to purchase farm ground and nobody dreamed of being a BTO.
