Falco, Thanks for the insight, but would appreciate some clarity. If I understand above quote correctly then, the number listed as avg. US citizens share of the national debt is actually the avg. citizens/non govt. savings balance? (north of 65,000.00) Often read what poor savers US citizens are, while it could be better, that number seems to suggest otherwise to me. Have read, Japanese are the best savers in the world.
Also, if above is true then, does savings allow the govt. to deficit spend w/o printing or otherwise borrow (other than savers) dollars to cover that portion of the deficit as well?
