Central IA | I have a soft, nostalgic spot for L2’s because I spent many hours riding with Dad in our ‘79. They were a good combine (except for the glorious feeder beaters) and actually ahead of their time after running other combines of the same vintage. That orange corn head is a dinosaur and not worth a whole lot. We had a 4-36” orange head on our black stripe M and used it on the L2 for a while. It was a happy day when a 6R black head replaced it. All that stuff has been stored in the big shed for several years it looks like. As nostalgic as I am, it looks quite overpriced, especially when you see what combines 20 years newer are selling for on auctions. | |
