Your dealer needs to go back to school, not much happens with ESN until moisture is added. Contrary to others I would not be afraid of tiny rates in furrow (20lbs of product) not sure it is worth the bother. ESN works good in a smaller acreage setting where it gets placed 2x2 in a starter band, you could try rates high enough you will be tired of filling planter starter boxes.
