Depends on the weeds and what growth stage they are at. That said, I’d use a hoe for 90%. Other important bean walking gear includes good boots that have good ankle support and keep dirt out. I like my Irish setter upland boots. Nice lightweight but durable pants and cheap fishing shirts to keep the sun off of you but still breathable. Broad brim hat helps too. Duluth trading boxer briefs are worth the money too.

Brand of hoe doesn’t matter to me as much as keeping a sharp edge on it.

If pulling waterhemp...after pulling them, put them in a bunch on the ground, then cut the roots off with a swing or two of the hoe. They’re like vampires....gotta cut the heads off. We’re not organic...but walking beans is what it takes to keep hemp in check here. If dealing with waterhemp, it can help to gps mark your hemp hotspots, especially if you have others helping you manage them. We do it with an iPad on FieldView.
