Subject: banding infection

Have a 800 lb bull that was banded last Thursday. Two or three days after banding I noticed a swollen sack and him walking stiff. A week after banding I have him another round of anti toxin, antibiotics and banamine. He seems to be walking better but to me it looks like a infection above the band. The swelling in the sack is gone but he has swelling underneath him above the band and to me what looks like a infection maybe gangrene jumping the band. I used a california bander and used two bands wanting to make sure it was tight enough. If there is a infection I worry that him walking better is just from the banamine. Is there anything else I can do or look for? The Vet said it was probably just swelling and fluid and would probably be ok but a infection was possible but the vet only saw a picture. To me it look like gangrene above the band.
