Beresford, SD | Broad answer. Harvesting silages, haying, grinding, hauling manure, bedding, scrapping, feeding, moving bales.......my feedyard and cow herd together runs a little over 6 cents/head/day in fuel costs alone. I need to up what I charge myself for yardage! ;).
If your feeding year a round and spend a lot of time on the road I could see a feed truck being advantageous. Just a few months in the winter...keep on keeping on.
