...They might be a gracefull AMERICAN bird and stand for freedom in many minds,but I dont think a lot of folks realize just how brutal their methods of survival are. Like a lot of wildlife they will scavange dead stuff and dead livestock (heck, who doesnt like steak?)but they can also rip apart live poultry and cats in short order and young rabbits are an easy take for them. A young rabbit on run is as good as doomed if the eagle or hawk are way up high above and out of sight. Those eyes can really spot a mouse from a long ways away.
