Easy to test the filter base by bypassing the filter with some fuel hose and bleed it out.

With it in "bypass" I would put in a $3 inline filter might leave it there for a few days
The return outlet check valve can stick ,plug but that will give very poor power
I have broke out the clear ball and ran without the ball
or used 2 one clean and the one that was bad,if I did not have something to wash the chips out
the governor ring starts to flake
and it plugs the outlet to kill the power |
