I’ve heard of the DUI issue. Is that an absolute or is it the kind of thing that depends on the mood of the guard on duty? Is it the same for us Canadians going into the US?
One thing about those guys, they are ALWAYS right, even if they are not, just accept what they say or they can make your day much worse.
i've heard of some being let through but criminal charges are converted to the closest equivalent and severity of whatever country you're entering so something that's a misdemeanor in the US might be a federal crime here (like a DUI) which is pretty much instant refusal. generally going into the US with a DUI is no problem because it's a misdemeanor but of course you can still be denied entry for any reason. |
