Subject: RE: Ag leader insight rtk?

East Central, Nebraska

my personal accuracy issues are repeatability. if no repeatability guarantee exists then one can only assume it becomes inaccurate over time, correct?

sooooo its not technically accurate to 2.5 cm ALWAYS, right?

this is a constant argument on here about how RTX stands up against RTK. The fact that you have seen 2.5 cm at worst and others have seen different results is enough to prove it is not consistent therefor not even a contender with RTK.

IS CENTERPOINT RTX THE SAME AS RTK?
No. RTK requires the use of either a temporary or permanent base station (can be in the form
of VRS corrections), and performance is dependent on, and directly impacted by distance
from the base station. A local RTK base station may be required for the highest accuracy
requirements, such as field leveling in agriculture.

if it was as accurate as rtk, the answer to that question in the document they created would be yes.

i will always believe that you have to do whats best for the end user, and sometimes rtx is the only best option. unfortunately i often times see retailers use rtx because its easy, thats sad.
