Subject: RE: The lawn mower and the electric fence...

I remember putting an electric fence up that was a 25 mile fencer. It only went around a 5 acre field. But we had a lot of cattle stealing going on at the time in our area.
So we didn't want our cattle messed with.

One day we saw a car pull up on the side of the road, and 3 young gentlemen got out. They went to the fence and started trying to get the cattle to come to them.
If you have been around cattle, you know they are curious creatures. So they started to come closer, but they knew not to test the fence.

The first guy comes up to the fence and grabs it...Throughs him back on the ground...Shaking his hand.

The second guy must not have believed him, so he did the same thing...Threw him on the ground and shaking his hand.

The third guy stood there for a minute and apparently couldn't believe what the other guys told him, so....he came up and grabbed the wire..
Must have been a little tighter grip because he stood there for a couple seconds then fell back.

Moral of the story is.. don't touch the friggen wire.

We also had a fireman come over and we told him of the story....

He asked why don't you put a sign up telling of the electric wire????

I said why put a sign up??? The cattle can't read, but they do know how to stay away from the wire.

Keeping the smart ones in the field and the dumb ones out.

Just had to share.
