Central Illinois | 7150, I thought the last paragraph would tell us, the burglar saw the electric fence and cut it. Thus leading to the episode of the homeowner. After waking up the homeowner then walked into the house only to find he had been robbed while he was getting nearly electrocuted.
I have to disagree about the International fence charger. I was helping my Dad check fence when I was about 7 or 8. I was on my hands and knees reaching under the fence to pull a weed. When I leaned in towards the fence the wire contacted my forehead. It laid me out spread eagle. Fortunately I did not fall forward into the fence. No side effects as mentioned in the story, but a lesson learned.
Oh, don't steady yourself by grabbing the steel fence post while stepping over the hot wire. Just be aware you are well grounded if you touch the wire. I learned that lesson too. | |
