Probably won’t be a real great money maker right now. But could be a relatively low cost way to get into a different enterprise and get an education. When you think of holsteins think of groups of 35-40 minimum. When selling as fat cattle most people want groups of 35 to make a full semi load to packer contract. Just rules of thumb I try to sell any holstein feeders at or before 500#. 600-900# seem to be the best deal/ cheapest to buy.
