Subject: Advice on holstein feeder calves

Southern MO
Hi everyone new member here but have been reading stuff on the forum for quite sometime. I’m 19 and take care of the family farm we are currently just a cow/calf operation but I’ve been looking for some ways to add a little extra income for myself since I only have a few cows of my own and the rest are Grandads. I’ve been thinking of buying Holstein steers between 2-300 pounds and raising until 600 and selling them. I have the facilities to hold them and feed them just didn’t know if this would be a wise decision. If so what would be the best thing to feed them for maximum gain was thinking of starting out with 20-30 of them. Any help would be appreciated thanks.
