Subject: Creamed Chipped beef

NW Washington
Look for recipes for Creamed Chipped Beef and you will find them. It is basically a white sauce made with flour, butter and milk and you add dried beef to the gravy. Sometimes folks rinse the beef to get rid of some of the salt on it. In the Navy we had other names for it and it was usually on the breakfast menu once a week. Here is one recipe.

In an Air Force mess hall I ate at once they made it using hamburger in the white sauce.
