Years ago Dad took his car to a jiffy-lube type place against our wishes. (Thought we were to busy and didn't want to bother us). They didn't tighten the oil plug, brother noticed drips on shop floor, crawled underneath, and plug was finger tight. Tightened it, spoke with jiffy lube 'manager', who said it was impossible because they torque every plug all the time. Said they put paint on it after they torque it. Was no paint. After a few minutes, he asked what I wanted. Offered a free oil change. I said I didn't want anything, just making sure they tighten up their system so they don't trash someone's engine. Never will go to any place like that again, way to risky.
