20-30 engines/power units here; If we did not change our own, we would always be running one some where or picking one up. Also, the quality of filters used by shops that buy from our parts stores are the bottom of the line and there is a huge difference in the quality from what I use and what they use. Oil is way cheaper when bought in bulk, also.
