What some people fail to understand is the difference between "rental rate" and "billable rate". If everyone had to pay "billable rate" to rent equipment, there would be no such thing as a rental company. Agree with $100/day. Offer the owner $2000 and if he wants more, pay what he asks and go buy a truck.
