Subject: Propane fireplace equipment

Lancaster, Co. PA
Looking to install a propane fireplace in my basement before it gets too frigid this winter. House is entirely electric heat so I would like a backup heat source in case of extended power outage. Also, the HVAC duct work does not have any outlets in the basement so it gets a little chilly when down there doing office work.

I've been checking and all that I can find are ventless propane units which would work very well but I'm concerned about a ventless unit in the basement with not other source of ventilation. Northern tools has one I like but I haven't figured out how to copy the link!!

Any thoughts or suggestions? I am pretty certain that I want a unit with a self contained thermostat and no blower so that it can operate without electric
