You two need to decide if you’re going to farm together or separately. If you’re going to farm separate, get out of this drill arrangement. If you’re going to farm together, form an operating entity that owns all mobile equipment and rents all of the land, and you both become employees of that entity. Then you don’t have to worry about who’s time and tractor were spent on what field in which order. You can focus on efficiently running better equipment over the most acres, as opposed to both running twice as much old junk over half the acres.
If you can both give a little and get along together it’ll work better, but if you can’t, end your drill deal before a single wheel turns.
