I shoot a T/C encore with a 3x9 scope (also have a remington 700ml with a 2x7 on it) if you don;t want a scope at least go with a red dot, no magnification but that red dot is nice out to about a hundred yards. after that the dot pretty well covers the target.
love mine switched over to blackhorn 209 last yr. (powder) and really like it, can shoot several shots with out swabbing the barrel, if you go with regular black powder or pyrodex powder you will have to swab the barrel after two shots, or you won't be able to get the bullet down the barrel at least I can't.
