yeah but when you pay one party to 'control' your data, it is still your data. you are paying them to manage it for you. unless of course you sign an eula such as climates that gives away those rights immediately before you can open the app. dont get me wrong though i DO NOT blame climate. they put it all right there in the first page.
i bet if you explained it like tractor ownership to a farmer it would be different. 'i am going to sell you this here tractor, then after you write the check and have all the physical part of it bought i am going to make you sign a document that says to make it functional you have to give us the right to take everything you produce with this tractor'. 'since we are the ones working on it, its really ours'
