| Of what a person reads on here most farmers have made money the last several years. It shows in land values and equipment sales (which are both still generally strong). Even though grain prices have been lower the last few years there have been good pricing opporunties. Also, yields overall have been above average. Of course somewhere every year there are below avg/poor crops and for those its tough to make money. Generally speaking though if a guy hasnt been profitable the last few years then there is definately trouble brewing. | |
