+1, the idea you have your full aph guaranteed is kind of a fallacy. Just as above says if it gets worse after dec whatever date is, you hold the bag. Doesn’t matter if beans have a ft of snow after the date in them. We went thru all scenarios this spring when we were facing prevent planting and it all worked out as we got crop out of the field but even 40# corn 40% moisture would have a sample taken to a couple of different elevators or feeders and what ever they bid per bushel x appraisal was deducted from guarantee. i realize if it tends to takes care of itself as adjusters tend to work with you within reason but if you are localized and market needs corn you might get hit. Another thing I learned is that your aph is based on no3 corn not no 2, so test weight and damage discounts don’t start where you think they do.
