I will just support this with the point that I was a strapping 6' 5" 220lb farm kid in HS/college, and I caused myself some back/shoulder/neck issues that have plagued me for 15 years ever since due to carrying too much weight around on one backpack strap. It was only 40 lbs or so but the repetitive years of doing it add up. I consumed books like candy at that age; I understand that an excellent reader can blow through the small school library, elementary and HS, very quickly.
