Germany | Look at Brother all-in-ones, no need to spend big money though. If you were satisfied with an inkjet, stay with it. HP ink used to cost a bunch, Brother printers accept any aftermarket cartridge according to my experience and minimize ink cost to a very acceptable level.
Edit a teacher I know runs the same Brother B&W laser since 2000 (!). Best part is, consumables are still available. Lasers are cheaper and faster when you print A LOT, but inkjets are more versatile and can also print true photo quality if required. Many of their former downsides have been improved.
