Subject: Feeding silage cows

-North Mo
Trying to estimate days of feed/best ration for spring calvers, 1150 lb cows, middle road hay (probably 8-9% protein fescue) - looking at 2.5% DM intake, silage at 40%DM @ 114 bu/ acre.
20lbs hay and 30 lbs silage - that is 50 lbs as fed hay and silage. Am I close, will a 1150lb cow eat 50lbs a day in one feeding?
Thanks in advance.

Maybe should ask what is the best way to feed hay and silage to beef without grinding hay - can I unroll hay one day then feed only silage the other day? If so how much of each to a 1150 lb cow?
