Ne Nebraska
Very interesting facts I’ve never known. At what point should it be added to diet to help with the cocci, as in how long before calving? I’m usually running on stalks up till 1-2 weeks before calving when get moved into lot and fed full ration. Only supplementing occasional alfalfa bale for protein or very cold or snow event. Around 4 weeks prior to calving ill start warming them up to ration slowly. So 4 weeks prior to calving is generally when I bring out the feed wagon vs hay processor as needed on stalks. So is 4 weeks prior to calving soon enough to start? And what would it cost per hd/day to add to ration? My general ration is posted above for early calving period.
