It's a great cable for that purpose. The only thing to note, is that this cable is so basic, it does not switch the GPS power on and off. You have to unplug the GPS or the power when not in use, or the GPS will run the battery down. We're going into winter, so it doesn't take much pull on your UTV battery before it causes starting concerns.
