Madison Co. Virginia | Another excellent site is Abebooks.com. It's best for the times you're looking for a specific book that's out of print. Works well too for collectible books, such as first editions by a specific author. It has more in common with ebay than with amazon, in that individual bookstores are listing their books on the site, and ship the book to you directly from that bookstore. Prices vary from .99 with 3.99 shipping, to multi-thousand dollars. It's not the cheapest possible source of used books, but if you want a specific book, it has a greater chance of being listed there than anywhere else. | |
