Fruita CO | Sears (and K-mart) were bought up by a corporate raider who sold off the good parts (Kenmore & Craftsman brands) and ran them into the ground. Had no interest in saving them, just boning them out for cash...
The wife & I went into the Sears store in the mall the other day, mostly for nostalgia, the place was like a funeral home. It was the anchor in the mall, opened a year before the rest of the mall was finished. They are closing the store in November.
I actually bought a mini tiller, they had a 4-stroke model for a good price...warranty & service in the future be damned...**********
