WY, OK | Wouldn't be one cow alive over 100 miles West of the Mississippi if they couldn't walk more than 700' to water.
Best is to locate at least where it can water two pastures, i.e. in a fence line. Absolute best is a water gap that can water 4 or more pastures.
I'm a fan of tire tanks myself. Just picked up half a dozen to put in this fall and winter hopefully. Better to have them when ponds are full than when the drought hits and you need them yesterday. | |
