Subject: Re: Convergence time for best repeatibility using CORS

Australia
Convergence is not a term usually associated with a modern RTK receiver which fixes "integers". The receiver has a time to first fix (TTFF) which for most survey grade RTK receivers is under 1 min. There is no practical benefit for repeatability in waiting beyond this point even on a CORS system. (that I am aware of)

Convergence is an issue for WAAS, omnistar XP, HP, and Deere Starfire II systems.

Things that affect TTFF are radio lag from the base caused by interference, satellite availability, multipath etc, solar activity etc.
