So there is a receiver unlock code to allow TerraStar, the model is something like D2L-0P0-TT0. That unlock code should be permanent even through firmware updates.

Then there is a TerraStar activation code. I don't know how they store that info in the receiver - if it has to be reapplied after a firmware update or not.
