Well I could open both in a hex editor to see if the NovAtel code is contained somewhere in the AL file, but there's really nothing to be gained by doing so. What I wanted to know is if the AL display could use the NovAtel file. It can't. If you want to update the receiver using their display, you need their file. If you had a serial cable right to a Windows computer, I bet you could use the regular firmware update file and procedures.
