nw illinois | The down force measurement that the 20/20 gives is the margin or "left over" down force that is being applied by the row unit in excess of the amount necessary to achieve consistent seeding depth.. In a perfect world there would be no margin however due to changing field conditions etc. the acceptable margin for the 20/20 is <100. The air force system actively manages the down force so that the margin is at much more acceptable levels than available through the down pressure systems that are currently available from the OEMs. | |
