Subject: RE: planting wheat with fertilizer in row

Coldwater, Michigan
If your drill is setup for dry most anything will do. I would probably lean heavily to 18-46-0, or with some potash, 9-23-30, 8-32-16. I would go with something high in Phosphate, a high nitrogen content wouldn't hurt either, such as above with 18-46-0. I prefer the 9-23-30 if sandy, if heavy clay probably the 8-32-16, or even the 18-46-0 (probably has enough potash). I would probably go with 100-150# of the DAP, 200-300 of the blended materials.

Wheat is very responsive to "P" on or with the seed.
