Running RowFlow with a Gen1 Monitor to control motors and clutches will be taxing to the Gen1. RowFlow itself works very good with a Gen2 monitor as long as it has both GPS and radar available and properly calibrated (i.e. pulses per foot is accurate and GPS dimension for both tractor and planter are as close as you can get them with a tape measure). A RowFlow setup tied to a Gen1 will work but as far as quickness/response times go it makes it work pretty hard. Adding AirForce on top of that will not do you any favors either. I would recommend doing what you can to upgrade to a Gen2 regardless of whether you make any further changes before next planting season. It has forward compatibility with the current SRM "single-row" control products and it runs the older Smart Connector "planter-wide" controls like RowFlow and/or AirForce like a dream. |
