Subject: RE: Precision Planting on Case 1250

Boone, Iowa
Overall, I have been really happy with the 1250. I went from a 1770NT 16-row box planter to a 1250 24-row bulk planter, so I’m not comparing apples to apples. I now wonder why I didn’t go to a bulk planter sooner. I’m running this planter on an MX240 with a P-pump conversion. I have not had any power issues with the tractor in the field, but will say the Case planter will use up more hydraulic flow. My 1250 has a PTO pump, which helps a lot. I’m hoping to update my tractor to one with the high flow hydraulic pump. I’m going to see what the crops and cash flow tell me this fall. Any other issues I had with the planter are in my original post.
