It is amazing the different methods in different areas. Here we would chisel, disc, land plane 3 passes, then drill or blow on and roll. Our seedbeds are super smooth. You could drive 80 mph across them if you wanted. They would also be firm enough that the heal of your boot won't leave more than a 1/4 inch or so indentation
