East central Indiana | Thanks for posting this info. The data doesn't appear too encouraging for water infiltration. I would have expected faster results.
Speaking for my own ground. Saw noticeable increased water infiltration after 3 years of no-till. A very reputable farmer, which generally uses conventional/tillage, who had farmed our ground for the last 15 years noticed it as well.
A three crop rotation corn, beans, wheat, with an aggressive cc mix post wheat has really helped our ground. Used to be hard as a rock iand now is "fluffy" and can grab a fistful of dirt in my hand in a lot of areas in my fields.
Hire out the corn planting and harvesting now and that farmer, who is also convential tillage, has harvested my ground 1st because of his being too wet the last two years.
