Southeast WI | Leave residue on the fields is the take-home message. As an aside - what ever became of all the cellulosic ethanol hype. I thought it was "5 years out" 15 years ago.... Always thought it was the dumbest idea removing crop residue from this standpoint of the research article. Plus could never wrap my head around the idea of storing huge amts of biomass. I guess the Iowa location guys should have talked to WI forage growers about the challenges. | |
